My wife got my son involved into painting Ukrainian Easter Eggs (Pysanka). Last night he was painting his new egg. I wanted to turn the ordinary shot into something new and extraordinary. I have added some more candle lights, turned off all lights and took this picture.
Technical details: Canon 70-200 IS 2.8, 1/30, f2.8, ISO 1600, hand held.
Have a nice day!

Last weekend we did a few projects with kids. Pavlo was learning how to draw. We picked our little Michael as a model (look at the picture, how he is trying to pose
). The goal was to draw a person with as much details as possible. Pavlo even colored Michael’s socks and stripes on his t-shirt.
The next project was to make traditional Ukrainian Easter Egg – Pysanka. Pysanka is a real egg with painted ornament on it. The technique is to cover the color you would like to keep with hot wax. The egg goes trough several dye coasts in the process. At the end the wax is removed and the whole ornament is reveiled. The whole process takes a lot of time and I have to give Pavlo a credit for beeing so interested and dedicated to the process.
