Lately, I have borrowed old Kiev 88 CM a medium format camera from a friend to try it out and see how images might turn out. These are  some images from a quick session of my friend Vasyl. Check out the last image. I shot it back lit with bright sun behind. Film could handle such huge dynamic range just fine. Incredible. I can even see the sun’s disk in there.

There was a photographer taking pictures of the downtown. I took my first shot. Then he packed and quickly leave. I took the second shot. As we walked back, the sun went down and there were city lights reflecting in the water. Beautiful!

We wanted to see if he likes it and looks like he is making a good progress and enjoys it. I hope he will keep playing and not get bored soon. We borrowed a digital keyboard from a friend of us, but now considering getting a real instrument for him. So, if you know anyone who is selling acoustic piano, please, let me know. Or I can trade it for services.
