I haven’t shot any film for about 8 years, since I got my first digital camera. Lately, I have borrowed old Kiev 88 CM a medium format camera from a friend to try it out and see how images might turn out. These areĀ some images from a quick session of my friend Vasyl. Check out the last image. I shot it back lit with bright sun behind. Film could handle such huge dynamic range just fine. Incredible. I can even see the sun’s disk in there.
Enjoy these tulips from our garden! Your comments are always welcome! Please, vote which one you would like to have as April’s desktop wallpaper.
Have a nice day!
I was walking down the water front with my family and friends on Sunday afternoon and took these images. There was a photographer taking pictures of the downtown. I took my first shot. Then he packed and quickly leave. I took the second shot. As we walked back, the sun went down and there were city lights reflecting in the water. Beautiful!

I have shot these one morning and I can’t decide between B&W or color versions. Which one do you like better?
My son Pavlo started taking piano lessons. We wanted to see if he likes it and looks like he is making a good progress and enjoys it. I hope he will keep playing and not get bored soon. We borrowed a digital keyboard from a friend of us, but now considering getting a real instrument for him. So, if you know anyone who is selling acoustic piano, please, let me know. Or I can trade it for services.
Have a nice day, enjoy the photo!

Last Friday I took a day off to spend with my kids and go to zoo with their school. We had awesome time check out a few images.

My older son Pavlo graduated from Kindergarten class of Firm Foundation Christian School. Yey! I am very proud of him! He was a good student.

My wife got my son involved into painting Ukrainian Easter Eggs (Pysanka). Last night he was painting his new egg. I wanted to turn the ordinary shot into something new and extraordinary. I have added some more candle lights, turned off all lights and took this picture.
