Mariyana + Sergey: Wedding
It was really nice and warm day for Mariyana and Sergey to get married. Everybody was happy and looked amazing. Just look at Mariyana’s pictures. She was just a gorgeous bride! Olga Voronov (Madame de Fluers) provided beautiful flowers once again. I don’t have any hesitation to recommend her to my clients becuase I am shure she will do a great job.
It was also a busy day. We had very tight schedule and didn’t have time to go and shoot some bride and groom portraits. So, when the reception was over it was already dark. They let limo go and stayed with me to shoot some portraits. It was all dark around, no city lights and only place which had some lighting was the place by the reception hall with some columns connecting two buildings. We were shooting for two hours until bride almost felt asleep and my camera stopped locking focus and could focus anymore. The lighting in the getting ready room was just amazing. I could shoot all day there. This shot is straight from the camera with some little cropping. BTW, all shots here are straight from the camera with some added warmth.
This is my favorite shot. I like how light is striking the door, picking a couple from the dark night and produces long shadows behind them:

Hey Mariyana. I’m not much on pretty words,but you look truly stunning in the wedding gown. Quite a contrast to the grubby Mine coveralls I usually see you in.
I especially like the first one of you beside the vase of roses. You look like you should be on the cover of a DVD or magazine. Beautiful !
And the 4th image of you and Sergey(Beside the pillar). You have a kinda distant “misterious” look… Like the Mona Lisa.
Your photoghrapher composed that very well.

I really miss you Mariyana, my wonderful and beatiful daughter. You can’t amagine how much I miss you you. You and Serge look really good together. I bless you, my children, to have a beatiful life just how beatiful you are. I wish you a life filled with joy and happiness. May God bless you for every moment of your life.

From the young teen who first came to Alaska and stole my heart as she read novels placed in-between the pages of the textbooks to a young woman who traveled on a mission to India and witnessed first hand the depths of dispair. How do I describe how proud of you I am? Sergey has witt and charm and I’m sure the patience and strength to allow you to be the person you are and will become as you march through marital years together.
To have missed this wedding will leave a void in my heart and soul forever, I am so gratified to see these wonderful photos to allow me to “share” in your memories.
All my love and forever in my heart, you two will always have a place in our home in interior Alaska.
