Mariyana + Sergey: Wedding

It was really nice and warm day for Mariyana and Sergey to get married. Everybody was happy and looked amazing. Just look at Mariyana’s pictures. She was just a gorgeous bride! Olga Voronov (Madame de Fluers) provided beautiful flowers once again. I don’t have any hesitation to recommend her to my clients becuase I am shure she will do a great job.

It was also a busy day. We had very tight schedule and didn’t have time to go and shoot some bride and groom portraits. So, when the reception was over it was already dark. They let limo go and stayed with me to shoot some portraits. It was all dark around, no city lights and only place which had some lighting was the place by the reception hall with some columns connecting two buildings. We were shooting for two hours until bride almost felt asleep and my camera stopped locking focus and could focus anymore. The lighting in the getting ready room was just amazing. I could shoot all day there. This shot is straight from the camera with some little cropping. BTW, all shots here are straight from the camera with some added warmth.

This is my favorite shot. I like how light is striking the door, picking a couple from the dark night and produces long shadows behind them:

Simone + Adam: Wedding

I have been to all weddings of this family of three sons, Ben, Josh and Adam. Ben was the first who got married with Ella – daughter of our friends. I was invited as a guest and was not an official photographer at all. I was not even in photography business at that time. They had a hired a pro for formal pictures and ceremony. But I had my camera with me and was taking candid pictures of the event. It was my first exposure to wedding photography. I have never photographed a wedding before. After the wedding, I took images and over one night designed about 16 pages of wedding album and printed them 8×10 on photographic paper. I was so excited about the design process that could go to sleep until I was done. It was a great experience and I learned a lot from it.

When time came for Josh and Jecie to get married I was officially in business and was hired as a pro.

Now Adam and Simone hired me for their big day. Simone is from Germany and Adam met her there when he was serving in US Army.

Julie

Julie was my client back in March (check out her wedding pictures here on blog) and she asked me if I could come to her graduation and take some pictures. Sure thing! After we took some family pictures right after she got her diploma from Portland State University, it turned out into a mini portrait session right in front of her alma mater building. Check them out! Isn’t it she a natural model?
