Mariyana + Sergey: Engagement Album

This memorial weekend I had a chance to photograph this amazing couple! Mariyana was coming from Alaska for a short stay and that was only one opportunity before it is too late to get some pretty pictures for their photo invitations which becoming more and more popular among my clients. We decided to do a night photo shoot to make it work with the formal dress Mariyana was about to wear for that occasion. I wanted to incorporate the city lights and create a theme of their night out in the city. I think, the images turned out pretty good. Check them out below and leave a comment. Thank you!

Have a nice day!

PS. All images are available in clients gallery now.

Corporate Headshots

I had a chance to photograph Natalia Duvalko a dentist from Midland Family Dentistry to get her head shot images for her corporate web site. The photo shoot went really well. If you are interested to schedule a photo session to get some relaxed style head shots for your web site or business, please, let me know and I would be happy to help you.

Mongol

portland wedding photographer Mongol I am looking forward to see this movie. It is coming on June 6th. It was made by Russian filmmaker Sergey Bodrov. We know Genghis Khan as a evil conquerer who took over many countries and turned into slaves their people. He was able to come across of Eastern Europe and reach to Mediterranean Sea. But this movie suppose to be not about Genghis Khan as warrior but as person, as a leader and a man. I remember, when I was a kid, reading a historical book about Genghis Khan and one saying I still remember. He said: “Don’t speak bad about the other person, because earth has ears and it can tell”. He was very wise and extraordinary man. It would be very interesting to see the other side of this historical person revealed. For now, watch the movie trailer:

Last weekend…

Last Sunday was very warm and sunny and we had a chance to spend all afternoon outside. We went to Battle Ground Lake park for some BBQ and fun. Looks like that place is very popular among fishermen. I think, there were more fishermen than fish in the lake portland wedding photographer Last weekend... . My son Pavlo is looking into getting some fishing stuff and come back one morning to catch some fish. That should be fun!

From my trip to Vegas…

I went to Las-Vegas in March to WPPI – the largest convention of wedding and portrait photographers. Every year about 10,000 people come there to learn, educate and share. I was a great experience for me. I learned so much in a few days and was able to meet and talk to the best photographers in the world. Here is a few pictures I took on that trip.

I just love how high end brands use images to market their products:

That was a sphere made of beads hanging on those threads. I had only 85 mm lens and could get only part of it, but it turned out pretty good:
