Little boys are cute!
Our son Michael turned six month old this month and his is super cute boy. We started crawling on his belly turning and reaching toys around him. He likes to eat yogurts and watch TV. 
I don’t know what it is there, but it attracts kids like a magnet. Here is a few pictures I took recently. And I have to tell you that taking picture of six month old is though. You can’t tell them to smile, it is like talking to a cat. The same effect. Or they make what’s-going-on type of face. Pretty much like it is on the second photo. So, you have to get them excited about something. Basically, you need an assistant, mom, brother, whoever to keep them looking at your direction. You are lucky if they find whatever you show them exciting and smile. But they get bored very quickly, and can turn and crawl away, so you have to shoot fast to get the right expression. Or you can just sit a wait hoping for the right moment and get some good candid shots. Depend what’s your goals is.
If anybody is interested in how they were lit, here is some info for geeks: they were taken with two off camera flashes triggered by Pocket Wizards. On the first two pictures, one flash was bounced of umbrella above the camera and the other one was hidden behind the translucent curtains on the window just to add some backlight to the scene. The last one had pretty much the same setup except the main flash was bounced off the ceiling.

Gallery Wrapped Canvas Print: WOW!
I have received my studio sample gallery wrapped canvas print. WOW! I was really impressed to see such beautiful product. The photographic image was printed on a real painters canvas, wrapped around a wooden frame about 2 inch thick, with hangers on the back. The colors are so good, so it looks almost like painting from a distance. I was really impressed how the colors look. It is very nice and quite different from a real photograph. It is hard to explain, you have to see it. I am very excited to offer this type of product to my clients. If you are a past client and would like to see it, call me and I would be happy to meet with you and show it to you. You going to love it from the first sight. It is about 2″ think with nice finished corners.
The back is as perfect as the front. It is covered with white tivek. Very nice and clean. The hangers are already attached and there are wall bumpers available for corners.

The Bridal Registry
This year I am introducing a new service for clients – the bridal and baby registry. Once created, the bridal registry allows people put money in and you can spend those money in our online store to purchase prints, mounts, canvases, albums – anything available for purchase. It is very easy to create and use. Here is how.
1. create an account.
First of all your need to create account. Go to http://clients.theoleksandr.com and select Create an Account under login form or from selecting Registry link from the top menu.
This is a screen you see when you select Registry from the top menu.
2. fill out the registration form
Next, fill out the registration from and click Create Account button.
3. create a registry
The next step is to create an actual registry. Select Registry from the top menu and specify the registry name and event date and click Continue button:
On the next screen, specify optional message for people coming to your registry and click Create Registry button.
4. share your registration code
After your registry is created your will see your registration code. Share your code among your friends, relatives, guests. They need that code to add money to your account. They also can use your account email address. Both work just fine.
To access your registry, select Registry from the top menu and you will see ‘View my registry’ link below:
5. how people can use your registry code
Once someone receives your registration code, they can use it right away to add money to your registry. They need to go to http://clients.theoleksandr.com web site and select registry from the top menu. Then they have to enter the registration code and click ‘Find it’ button to find your registry.
When the registry is found, they can enter the amount they would like to add to your account and leave a special message for you:
After the transaction is completed, you will be able to see your balance when you login into your account and review who put money into your account and how much:
