Michael’s Baptism
Our little Michael was baptized into Christ last Sunday in St. Irene Byzantine Church in Portland. According to the Baptism ceremony the child is hold by God parents all the time. At the beginning, he is hold by his Godmother. Then he is put under water and passed to his Godfather. After the Divine Liturgy, he has to accept Holly Communion.
That day was a double holiday for us: it was our 7th anniversary. At the evening, my lovely wife and me were able to sneak out from the house to get a romantic dinner. It was good to get out and had some time for just two of us. Happy Anniversary, Honey! I love you!
Some details: the white cloth which is used to wrap a child after the ceremony and a candle for godparents to hold.

St. Irene’s glass windows are just amazing art masterpieces.

The priest is telling to put his little feet into Holy water.

Then he purred a some water on to his head.

Then he was passed to Godfather for the rest of a ceremony.
