Wedding web site update
I have uploaded an updated version of my wedding web site – http://theoleksandr.com. The update was about consolidating ‘albums’ and ‘packages’ pages into one ‘info’ page with a menu on the top. That menu allows you to access the pages about wedding packages, engagement session information and prints information. Also the wedding package information has been updated with more detailed explanation about each item included in the package.
I also included a few pages about how I edit my images with a few before and after examples. The reason is that I want my clients to see the difference in straight from the camera and post processed images they receive. After a wedding I spend many hours working on those images in order to implement that distinct look and style you can see on my web site. Check it out:

Some note about getting your prints done professionally.
Even though you get a disk with your images, I highly recommend to go and place some print orders. Recently, I was using some local print labs to get some prints done and was very disappointed with the quality of prints they produce. The colors, paper quality weren’t just there. I think the reason is that they all are set up to work with a consumer level cameras, which produce images with a limited gamut of colors. Instead, the professional cameras are set to capture much wider and richer colors. To avoid color clipping, the images from those cameras will benefit if they are printed on professional equipment using professional archival inks and paper. Besides that, the images are sprayed with a protective coating which prevents the colors from fading and make the images last for years. Would it make much sense paying a professional to photograph a wedding in order to get professional quality images and then get them printed in consumer grade lab and expect the high quality prints? I wouldn’t think so.
