I remember when my father bought SLR camera as a Christmas present. It was mechanical all manual film camera. I was a kid at that time and didn’t quite understand how all those camera components work together. But I was learning and soon it all became very interesting to me. I remember snapping picture of friends and families, then developing black and white film and converting our tiny bathroom into a dark room to print pictures. We had no consumer photo labs at that time and I had to learn all the process of developing film and printing pictures.
Then after my little sister was born I started taking tons of pictures of her. I had almost every moment documented. It was quite a challenge to capture a moving child with a camera which had no auto focus system. I love the way Joe Buissink puts it when he says "There is no such thing as a perfect image, only a perfect moment". And he is so right...
What I like about photographing people, especially, when they live through the most important moments in their lives, is that I am able to capture their feelings, emotions, looks and by the end of the day when I look at the pictures and I see that, it gives me that feeling of good job done. It makes my day...
