Chicago Wedding PhotographersSteve Matteo has been working as a professional photographer for over 15 years. After graduating from Chicago's Columbia College with a degree in photojournalism, he immediately went to work for a small suburban weekly newspaper. His next stop was the Daily Herald where he worked as a staff photographer, shooting news, sports and feature assignments. When the opportunity to work on the City 2000 project (a year long photo documentary of Chicago) came along, Steve left the Herald and went on to freelance. His contribution to the project was shooting the Gage Park neighborhood on the city's south side where he grew up. These images appeared at the City's historic Water Tower, the Chicago Cultural Center and the Chicago Historical Center. They were also part of a traveling exhibit around the country.
